The amount accounts for 7.5% of Brazil\u2019s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The industry generates 3 million direct and indirect jobs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe revenue from 91,000 stores, with the recent changes we\u2019ve been bringing, are BRL 554 billion (USD 105 billion). This amount includes all supermarket\u2019s distribution channels.
