The <strong>Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC) will hold an online B2B for the segment from June 28 to July 1. Registration is open for Arabs who want to present their products. Brazilians interested in participating as buyers can also enroll.<\/p>\n<p>In the B2B, Arabs will have conversations with distributors, importers, wholesalers, supermarket representatives, and other Brazilian retailers. A few days before the online meetings, there will be a preparation \u2013 a virtual Warm-Up \u2013 for the Arab selling companies. The goal is for them to get to know the environment of the B2B and a little more about the Brazilian market. The warm-up date will be released soon.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_286534\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-286534\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-286536 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/daniela-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/daniela-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/daniela-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/daniela.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-286534\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Leite: new ways to connect companies<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The expectation is that food such as oranges, garlic, onions, olive oil, olives, dates, and others produced in the Arab countries and consumed in Brazil will be offered in the rounds. The New Business director at the ABCC, Daniella Leite, recalls that Brazil has more than 210 million inhabitants, representing a vast potential for consumption. Last year, Brazilian supermarkets had BRL 554 billion (equivalent to USD 105 billion) of revenue.<\/p>\n<p>Leite states that there are opportunities for food and beverages from Arab countries in the Brazilian market and that Brazil imports many of the offered products from other nations. She believes that these products need to be presented to major national importers to know they have a high quality and may choose new suppliers and products from the Arab countries. \u201cThis is an opportunity to show that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>June\u2019s B2B will be the first of an intensive schedule the ABCC has prepared for the year, in which Arabs and Brazilians will be placed face to face through the Internet to buy and sell. Other online rounds are scheduled for 2021, in which the Arabs will be able to sell fertilizers in July and textile products in October.<\/p>\n<p>For the sale of Brazilian products to the Arabs, virtual B2Bs focused on cosmetics and food and beverages will be held, both in July and later on for agribusiness and home and construction sectors in August. An initiative aimed at tourism and fashion is scheduled for September.<\/p>\n<p>Leite recalls that the ABCC\u2019s mission is to promote business between Brazilians and Arabs and virtual rounds are a means of ensuring that trade continues even in times of pandemic. Before COVID-19, this contact took place with trips and missions organized by the ABCC. \u201cWe noticed that the virtual connection has been very successful in meeting this need,\u201d says the New Business director.<\/p>\n<p>The ABCC regularly receives demands from Arab and Brazilian companies interested in doing business with the other party. The institution connects the two sides, but the closing of the deals is up to the companies, without interference from the entity. The same applies to online rounds. They will occur through scheduled meetings, an adaptation of the face-to-face format in which the buyer spends all day at the table receiving salespeople. Registration is free for buyers, but there is a fee for sellers.
