The information was disclosed by a spokesperson for Petrobras.<\/p>\n<p> LNG is imported gas, which arrives in Brazil in ships, in the liquid form (making possible the compression of a large volume of gas). The product is then regassified on arrival in the country.<\/p>\n<p> This process is performed in the vessel itself while anchored in Pec\u00e9m terminal, in Cear\u00e1, which was inaugurated last year. The terminal is operated by a subsidiary of Petrobras (Transpetro).<\/p>\n<p> The first shipment was delivered to Termocear\u00e1 and Termofortaleza mills. The former, operated by Petrobras itself, has a capacity for production of 220 megawatts, burning 1.4 million cubic metres a day.
