According to him, Brazil\u2019s transportation and energy mix is one of the world&#8217;s cleanest. About 25% of the fuel the country uses comes from renewable sources and the goal is to reach 2030 with a 30% share. \u201cThis is unique in the world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Fuel of the Future program will be partly responsible for this increase. Launched in April this year, it aims to increase the share of renewable and low-emission fuels in Brazil&#8217;s energy mix and to develop national vehicle technologies. \u201cBrazil has greatly advanced in Flex Fuel vehicles. In this energy transition period, we must further develop this vehicle technology.\u201d Another goal is to develop new biofuels: \u201cWe\u2019re looking ahead and looking for new fuels that can be added to our transportation and energy mix,\u201d he said<\/p>\n<p>According to Coelho, the biofuel market was a reality in the cargo transportation due to the use of biodiesel. Other options are natural gas and biomethane. According to the secretary, the plan is developing options for the air and water sector through the Fuel of the Future program. For the aircrafts, aviation biokerosene will be used.
