In the four dates, over 35 Lebanese companies will present their products to Brazilian importers and distributors.

On September 2, the show will be for those interested in traditional Lebanese food products and olive oil. On the 16 it will have wines and other alcoholic beverages. On the 23, products from medium-sized industries will be presented, such as fertilizers, PVC, and building materials, among others. And on the 30, there will be a presentation of Lebanese restaurant franchises.

The virtual show was created by ambassador Carla Jazzar, chargée d’affaires of the Embassy of Lebanon to Brasília, who will open the event along with Anthony Moussa, the economic attaché of the embassy. According to Moussa, the idea is to give Lebanese business people a free chance to offer their products. “This, for me, is the most important, they are already suffering so much with everything happening there, and in what we can, we will help,” he said. As it is an online show, Moussa claims there will be great exposure and public from all over Brazil; everything will be recorded, so importers can watch at any time and get in touch.

The only condition to participate is that the Lebanese products have the potential for sale in Brazil and a license from the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA). According to Moussa, animal products, such as cheese, butter, honey, milk, and eggs, are not yet allowed, but the embassy is working with the MAPA to obtain the license soon.

Participation on the Zoom platform is restricted to guests of the embassy and partner organizations because the number of participants in each room is limited; however, it is possible to see the presentations live on the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) YouTube channel. Participation in the event is free of charge, and there will be simultaneous interpretation from English into Portuguese. Anyone watching on YouTube and interested in any product can comment on the video with a piece of contact information, and Moussa himself will respond.

On each day, several Lebanese entrepreneurs will present their companies to Brazilian importers and distributors. The link for the first day is available now. There are already over one hundred registrations for the four dates, according to the economic attaché. “There were over one hundred registrations in four days of marketing, which shows people are interested in products from Lebanon and in doing business with Lebanon,” he said. The largest number, according to Moussa, is for the presentation of food products on September 2. For the attaché, the products with the most significant sales potential in Brazil are olive oil, wine, and other alcoholic beverages, such as Vodka and Gin, and Lebanese jams, which, according to him, have good quality and competitive prices.

The event’s partner organizations are the ABCC, the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP), the Brazilian Confederation of Goods Trade, Services, and Tourism (CNC SESC-SENAC), the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF), the Porto Alegre Trade Association (ACPA), the Brazilian Council of Importing and Exporting Commercial Companies (CECIEX), the Federation of Foreign Trade Chambers (FCCE), the Brazilian Association of Industrial Machinery and Equipment Importers (ABIMEI), the Brazil-Lebanon Chamber of Commerce (CCBL), the Lebanese-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce of Rio de Janeiro (CCLB-RJ), the Lebanese-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce of Paraná, Rockland Brazil, and the Thiesen Group.

Registration can be made through this link.
