Concerning the first shot, 132 million Brazilians have already received it. The figure represents 83.4% of the target immunization of 160 million adults in the country.<\/p>\n<p>In the Ministry of Health\u2019s judgment, the progress of vaccination is bringing positive results. One of the main ones is the drop in the occupancy rate of hospital beds for COVID-19 in infirmaries and ICUs, which is already below 50%. In the last two months, the moving averages of cases and deaths recorded reductions of 61% and 60%, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>According to the World Health Organization (WHO) data, 581,000 people died of COVID-19 in Brazil. The organization informed that on Thursday, September 2, 839 deaths were recorded in the country.
