S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Noura Sulaiman (pictured above)<\/em> is one of the select Saudi designers to have one of her creations featured in a major Hollywood production. She designed the off-the-shoulder dress with cascading Russian tulle sleeves used by the American singer Halsey in the poster of her feature film \u201cIf I Can\u2019t Have Love, I Want Power.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film accompanies the singer\u2019s album of the same name; both were released this year. The dress, called Moir\u00e9, was chosen for the film\u2019s campaign by costume designer Law Roach. In an interview published on the Saudi newspaper Arab News<\/a> website, Sulaiman stated that being selected by the influential Roach was the high point of her career.<\/p>\n

The Saudi designed the dress to wear at a party celebrating the birth of her baby; however, due to high demand from customers, she decided to include it in her debut collection in December last year.<\/p>\n

The stylist was born and raised in Riyadh. She comes from a family of artists and has been interested in fashion from a very young age. She designed her first dress when she was 12 years old. To Arab News, she talked about the artistic nature she lived in since childhood when she created a school bag with a skirt and designed a wedding dress.<\/p>\n

After high school, Noura Sulaiman took a Fashion Design course at the Riad Arts and Skills Institute to hone her talents and launch her brand. At the same time, she worked at a local boutique. In addition to putting together looks, she discovered to like crafts and fashion creation.<\/p>\n

Last year, she launched her first collection with timeless and sustainable clothing such as abayas, kaftans, and dresses. \u201cWhen I was pregnant, I used to joke that I was pregnant with two babies: My debut collection and my daughter,\u201d told Sulaiman. The highlight of the launch was an abaya suit, which is a long, baggy, double-breasted blazer made from silk. Fluids are the collection\u2019s trademark.<\/p>\n
