Built in a little as five months, the Gulf country pavilion is located in the Sustainability district at Expo 2020 Dubai and has a built area of 620 square meters.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_299839\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-299839\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-06-at-15.44.09-2.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-299841\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-06-at-15.44.09-2-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-06-at-15.44.09-2-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-06-at-15.44.09-2.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-299839\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Sweeping shapes echoes the sails of the <\/em>dhow<em> boat<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Its design makes a modern interpretation of the four elements of the coat of the country\u2019s coat of arms, which includes two curved and crossed swords, on which a traditional dhow boat and an island with palm trees are positioned.<\/p>\n<p>The expressive forms of the pavilion translate cultural elements of the country into movement, mobility, strength and tradition. The pavilion emulates the country\u2019s innovative spirit and outlook of the future, while remaining rooted to its culture and history.<\/p>\n<p>The color white that dominates the space, besides being present in the flag, symbolizes peace. The curvilinear shapes of the roof relate to the sails of the dhow boat, which was used to collect pearls, fish and transport products.<\/p>\n<p>The internal area offers minimalist rooms. The first gallery, a wide, white room with high ceilings, features a digital screen showing the stadiums of the World Cup to take place next year, as well as other images. Four other screens on the opposite wall show the country\u2019s map, as well as images related to education, with different schools and universities of Qatar, and images related to the environment, sustainability and the arts.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_299833\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-299833\" style=\"width: 242px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-06-at-15.34.29-4.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-299835\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-06-at-15.34.29-4-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"242\" height=\"182\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-06-at-15.34.29-4-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-06-at-15.34.29-4-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-06-at-15.34.29-4.jpeg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 242px) 100vw, 242px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-299833\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Qatar World Cup is a highlight of the pavilion<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mirrored totems in the second room show videos of the past, present and future of the country. Images of previous World Cups are shown, including footage of Brazilian players like Ronald with the 2002 Cup trophy. There\u2019re also videos about the Qatar World Cup to take place next year and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dohaexpo2023.gov.qa\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Horticultural Expo<\/a> to take place in Doha under the theme \u201cGreen Desert, Better Environment,\u201d as well as other videos on the country\u2019s culture.<\/p>\n<p>To welcome authorities, there is a <em>majlis<\/em>, a typical Arab meeting room that visitors have no access to. This reporter was able to go in and drink <em>karak<\/em> with Qatar pavilion director Mohamed Saeed Al-Bloshi. Karak \u00e9 is black tea with milk and cardamom that\u2019s very traditional in Qatar. Al-Bloshi said that the drink became a tradition in the country with the arrival of Indian and Pakistani workers that brough it around the 50s.
