According to information released in the official local news agency, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aps.dz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alg\u00e9rie Presse Service (APS)<\/a>, the equipment was produced by GE Algeria Turbines (GEAT), a subsidiary of Sonelgaz in the province of Batna.<\/p>\n<p>The turbines are heading to a country in the Middle East. The CEO of Sonelgaz, Chaher Boulakhras, stated the equipment would be shipped starting this Wednesday (3), and there is an increase in demand for the product by partners in several countries, which opens a niche for the industrial sector.<\/p>\n<p>Early last month, the group announced it had signed a contract to sell two gas turbines for electricity production with a customer in the Middle East, and the equipment had a production capacity of 500 megawatts.<\/p>\n<p>GE Algeria Turbines is a joint venture with 51% of its capital owned by Sonelgaz and 49% by General Electric (GE).
