Fresh and processed products totaled 397,100 tonnes sold by the country. In terms of revenue, shipments abroad figured USD 715.2 million, 60% above October 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Data are from the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) and were released this Tuesday (9). Among the leading destinations for Brazil\u2019s poultry, China remains in the lead, with 51,200 tonnes in October, 2.5% more than in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The second foremost importer in the sector was Japan, which increased the volume by 60%, with 47,200 tonnes. Next came the United Arab Emirates, with 43,600 tonnes, a 108% expansion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a widespread improvement in the export destinations for Brazilian poultry in October, maintaining the optimistic projections forecasted by ABPA for the year 2021. At the same time, the significant progress in export revenue has balanced the impacts of the increments in production costs accumulated since last year,\u201d said, in a statement, the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.<\/p>\n<p>The same survey demonstrated from January to October this year, the volume of exported poultry protein was 3.864 million tonnes, 10.45% greater than in the same period of the previous year.
