S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 A delegation comprising 327 representatives from 230 Brazilian industries and institutions will begin this Saturday (13) a schedule of events to generate business in the United Arab Emirates. The mission is led by the Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and will run until November 19. According to the CNI, it is the biggest trade mission ever conducted to an Arab country. Among the members of the Brazilian delegation, 77% are CEOs or industry owners.<\/p>\n
The group will be in the country on some of the same days as the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, who will be on an official mission to the UAE on November 14 and 15; the latter will be Brazil\u2019s Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, a universal exhibition taking place in Dubai and in which Brazil participates with a pavilion. According to the president of the CNI, Robson Braga de Andrade (pictured above)<\/em>, by bringing together authorities and business leaders from around the world, the exhibition is an ideal environment to have closer contacts between the private sector and understand the local market better.<\/p>\n The delegation will have business prospecting rounds, networking, technical visits, and activities to seek investment opportunities. The program includes two seminars, one on the 14, \u201cHow to do business with the UAE,\u201d at The Ritz-Carlton DIFC Hotel, with the presence of the former president of Brazil, Michel Temer, and another on the 15, \u201c Invest in Brazil Forum,\u201d at the same hotel, with the presence of president Bolsonaro.<\/p>\n The trip is organized by the CNI in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), responsible for the Brazil pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, and has support from the Dubai Chamber and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC).
