It\u2019s located on the Red Sea close to the Suez Canal, and Saudi Arabia wants it to set global benchmarks in the adoption of state-of-the-art technology and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi newspaper <em>Arab News<\/em> reported as per a statement carried by Saudi Press Agency that the city will be powered by 100% clean energy and its nucleus will be based on seven sectors, with innovation and new technology creating a vital base for these industries.<\/p>\n<p>These industries are sustainable energy, autonomous mobility, water innovation, sustainable food production, health and well-being, technology and digital manufacturing (including telecommunications, space technology and robotics), and modern methods of construction.<\/p>\n<p>It will include Saudi port of Duba and be near a similar project called THE LINE. A large part of the global trade passes through the Red Sea, where the OXAGON will be located, and it is positioned to be one of the world\u2019s most technologically advanced logistics hubs with state-of-the-art integrated port and airport connectivity. The city further meets the ambitions under Vision 2030, a long-term development plan of Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>The project aspires to redefining the world\u2019s approach to industrial development in the future, protecting the environment while creating jobs and growth. Communities will be walkable, or via hydrogen-powered mobility.
