This time, the emirate will invest in the development of drone transport systems.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arabianbusiness.com\/industries\/technology\/how-dubai-is-planning-to-develop-drone-transport-as-part-of-tech-push\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arabian Business<\/a> magazine website, the initiative will foster the development and adoption of cutting-edge technologies as part of plans to strengthen Dubai\u2019s global competitiveness in vital sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The program intends to create infrastructure for uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) prototypes to be tested in areas suitable for this purpose. With the experiment, special legislation for the sector could also be developed.<\/p>\n<p>A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between multiple government and private sector entities to launch program operations. Signatories include Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), Fakeeh University Hospital (FUH), Majid Al Futtaim, and Emirates SkyCargo.<\/p>\n<p>The program\u2019s goal is to explore the use of drones in sectors such as health, safety, maritime transport, and food and reduce the carbon emissions generated by traditional transportation and shipping methods.
