The Brazilian chancellors\u2019 agenda will include meetings with the Saudi authority from late morning until mid-afternoon.<\/p>\n
Fran\u00e7a will initially receive Al Saud for a private meeting in his office, followed by an expanded discussion at the Rui Barbosa Room in the Itamaraty Palace. They are expected to speak to the press at the end of the morning, and then the Saudi prince will participate in lunch to celebrate his visit at the Rio de Janeiro Room.<\/p>\n
The Brazilian minister recently accompanied president Jair Bolsonaro on a trip to three Arab countries: the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Qatar. The itinerary did not include Saudi Arabia, but president Bolsonaro visited the country in late 2019. Brazil and Saudi Arabia maintain strong trade relations. Last year, shipments from Brazil to the Saudi market totaled USD 1.8 billion; the main products were poultry, sugar, maize, soy, and beef. Sales from Saudi Arabia to Brazil totaled USD 1.5 billion, mainly oil and fertilizers.<\/p>\n
