Exports totalled US$ 1.751 billion and imports, US$ 1.163 billion. The figures were supplied by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.<\/p>\n<p> The numbers point to a recovery of the trade surplus in the accumulated result for the year so far, from January until April 5th. The total figure has reached US$ 3.6 billion. During the same period of last year, the trade surplus was US$ 3.603 billion. Imports have totalled US$ 29.328 billion, whereas the figure was US$ 37.721 billion in the same period of 2008.
