S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Foodstuffs such as meat, milk, coffee and construction material in general \u2013 ranging from cement to decorative objects \u2013 are the most sought products by the Libyan businessmen visiting the stand of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/b> at Tripoli International Fair, in Libya. Since last week, the premises have already received approximately 60 importers who were interested in the Brazilian products.<\/p>\n
\u201cOverall attendance at the fair is very good. This is the Arab Brazilian Chamber’s third time at the fair, and attendance grows at the same pace as the economy of the country, where development is clear to see, especially judging from the high number of new buildings that appear in different areas of the city,\u201d says Andr\u00e9 Caserta, Foreign Trade assistant at the Arab Brazilian Chamber.<\/p>\n
On display at the Brazilian stand are canned and vacuum-packed foods, such as meats and vegetables. The products are manufactured by companies Oderich and Vapza, represented at the fair by trading company Latinex. Also being showcased is footwear by Grendene, a large Brazilian manufacturer that is based in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, has an output of 500,000 pairs per day and already exports to nine Arab countries.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, since yesterday, the stand also offers promotional material by Perdig\u00e3o, which is one of the main food factories in Brazil and exports to over 80 countries. The organisation has three offices in foreign countries: one in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, another in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, in the Netherlands, and another in London, United Kingdom. <\/p>\n
\u201cGuilherme Esteves, who is the representative for Perdig\u00e3o in the African market, is now in Libya visiting customers and he spent some time monitoring the attendance at the fair,\u201d said Caserta. The Arab Brazilian Chamber stand was also visited by Jacy Braga, who is at the fair representing the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex).<\/p>\n
The Tripoli International Fair is multisectoral. It began last Thursday (2nd) and should continue until next Sunday (12th). <\/p>\n
