The discovery was in bloc BM-S-9, which is composed of two areas for evaluation: the area of well 1-SPS-50, denominated Carioca, and the area of well 1-SPS-55, called Guar\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p> New well 4-SPS-60, named Igua\u00e7u, is located in the assessment area of Carioca Field, 340 kilometres away from S\u00e3o Paulo, at a depth of 2,140 metres.<\/p>\n<p> The area is explored by the consortium made up of Petrobras (the operator with 45% participation), BG Group (30%) and Repsol (25%).
