{"id":305487,"date":"2022-01-13T10:52:52","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T13:52:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=305487"},"modified":"2022-01-13T10:52:52","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T13:52:52","slug":"islamic-development-bank-financing-4-projects-in-palestine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/islamic-development-bank-financing-4-projects-in-palestine\/","title":{"rendered":"Islamic Development Bank financing 4 projects in Palestine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cairo \u2013 The Islamic Development Bank and the Palestinian government signed four agreements on Wednesday (12) worth USD 33 million to support a series of projects in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Jerusalem, according to the state-run Palestinian news agency <em>Wafa<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The agreements were signed by Local Government minister Magdi al-Saleh and the advisor of the Islamic Bank in the West Bank and Jerusalem, Ikhlas Al-Ratrout.<\/p>\n<p>One of the agreements is to support infrastructure projects for a number of local authorities in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Jerusalem, at a value of USD 26 million, while another agreement worth USD 3.5 million was signed to support infrastructure projects in the refugee camps.<\/p>\n<p>A third agreement worth USD 2 million for the implementation of a project to equip and furnish a maternity hospital in the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City was also signed.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth agreement, which is targeting restoring, rehabilitating, and maintaining buildings in the Old City of Hebron, at a value of USD 1 million, was also signed by Hebron mayor Taysir Abu Sneina with a representative of the Islamic Development Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Palestine\u2019s prime minister Mohammed Shtayyeh thanked the Arab funds and the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah, for their continuous support to Palestine, noting that the projects will be dedicated to roads, the health sector, and the reconstruction of the Old City of Hebron.
