The mission is carried out by the CNT System, formed by the Brazilian National Transport Confederation, National Transport Social Service / Transport Learning National Service (SEST SENAT), and Transport and Logistics Institute (ITL). The schedule goes until January 22. The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) organizes the mission.

It will take a delegation of executives from some of the largest transport companies in Brazil to immersion in advanced technology environments. The UAE is a global reference in transport and logistics, particularly the emirate of Dubai, considered one of the world’s leading maritime and airport hubs.

The group will perform technical visits to Expo 2020 Dubai, a universal exhibition featuring 192 countries with mobility as one of its central themes. The delegation will also meet with companies operating different transport systems, such as the port of Abu Dhabi and Masdar City, a planned city focused on sustainability. They will also attend business meetings, and the schedule includes meetings with representatives of the Emirati government and Brazilian entities.

The president of the CNT System, Vander Costa, explained the executives could act as multipliers of the knowledge acquired during the mission. “With this initiative, the CNT System, through SEST SENAT, seeks to connect large companies to advanced technological development environments and bring the Brazilian transport sector closer to potential partners. This way, the delegation will be able to identify practices and business models for the future of mobility of people and products in Brazil,” said Costa.

The mission seeks to learn about trends and innovations in the transport sector in the Arab world. “In addition to new products and means of transport, the innovations include services such as on-demand fuel delivery, which was not possible in Brazil before. With this, we will get to know, understand, and bring the best practices to the country, working on an exchange and the possibility of business partnerships,” said the New Business director of the ABCC, Daniella Leite.

The delegation will be accompanied by a team from the main headquarters of the ABCC, which will travel with the executives, and staff from the institution’s office in Dubai. “We see the increasing relevance of our international offices in supporting our members,” added Leite.

For the president of the ABCC, diplomat Osmar Chohfi, expectations are to build partnerships with facilitators and companies offering sustainable solutions for transport and logistics businesses. “The International Transport Mission reflects the shared interest between Brazil and the UAE in fostering collaborations to increase private sector capacity, promote business and investments, improve market access and generate a notable increase in bilateral trade volume,” said Chohfi.

Translated by Elúsio Brasileiro

©Karim Sahib/AFP

The delegation includes some of the largest transport companies in the country and aims to identify innovative technologies and practices in the Arab world to boost the national industry.
