Rio de Janeiro \u2013 Last Friday (17th), the Brazilian state-owned oil company Petrobras and the National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (Inmetro) presented, at the Federation of Industries of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo (Fiesp), the first vehicles to receive the National Energy Conservation Label (Ence).<\/p>\n
According to Petrobras, the labels will include data concerning the performance of the vehicles in relation to fuel consumption in the city and on the road. During the presentation at Fiesp, the first models by auto manufacturing companies that voluntarily enrolled in the Brazilian Vehicle Labelling Program (PBE Veicular) are going to be labelled. <\/p>\n
Coordinated by Inmetro in partnership with the National Program for Rationalizing the Use of Petroleum and Natural Gas Derivatives (Conpet), the Brazilian Vehicle Labelling Program implemented by Petrobras also counts on the participation of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, and of the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuel Agency (ANP).<\/p>\n
Also participating in the project are the Brazilian Environment and Renewable Natural Resource Institute (Ibama), the S\u00e3o Paulo State Company for Sanitation and Technology (Cetesb), the Leopoldo Am\u00e9rico Miguez de Melo Research and Development Centre, of the Petrobras (Cenpes) and the auto industry, among others.<\/p>\n
