The measure that regulated the presence of this worker in Brazil was published on Monday (24) in the Federal Gazette<\/em> and establishes an initial period of one year of residence that can be renewed for an equal period.<\/p>\n National Security secretary Jos\u00e9 Vicente Santini said the regulation follows a worldwide trend and even contributes to the tourism industry. \u201cThe remuneration of digital nomads come from foreign sources, and the resources brought by these immigrants move the local economy. This is a major step for Brazil to promote a more modern work model,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n How to get it<\/strong><\/p>\n The temporary visa must be requested at any Brazilian consular office abroad by submitting the documents provided for in the resolution such as a health insurance valid throughout the country and proof of digital nomad status.<\/p>\n The immigrant that is within the national territory must submit the application for residence to the Ministry of Justice via the MigranteWeb<\/a> system.<\/p>\n In both cases, the proof of digital nomad status must be made by submitting the employment or service delivery contract as well as other documents showing a bond with the foreign employer.
