S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Brazilian construction coatings and coverings company Aton7<\/a> seeks to open to the Arab market. Founded 30 years ago by partner Francisco Jos\u00e9 Fava and CEO Rivadavio Jo\u00e3o Theisen, the industry has been exporting to South American countries for about eight years, the Sales, Marketing, and Exports manager at Aton7, Jos\u00e9 Guerra, told ANBA.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is to reach the Arab markets, and the idea is to structure a team of sales representatives in the region and seek local importers and distributors,\u201d said Guerra. The company has also been working to establish itself in new markets in other continents, such as Europe, Africa, and the Americas.<\/p>\n

According to the manager, another objective is to import raw materials and finished products to sell in Brazil, where Aton7 has storage and distribution capacity, as it has a sales team and a portfolio of clients throughout the country.<\/p>\n

Based in Cachoeirinha, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Aton7 is part of a business group of three chemical industries in the state. It produces coatings and coverings for multiple surfaces such as floors, wood, cement, metal, and glass. The company supplies many market niches, such as construction, textiles, furniture, and leather footwear.<\/p>\n

Aton7 is launching a 100% ecological water-based line for the furniture industry, with lacquer, primer, and coatings for wood and MDF, glue, varnish, sealer, and liquid blanket, among other products. According to Guerra, these are products no other company in the country manufactures in a fully ecological way.<\/p>\n

Another coating manufactured by the company is PU 718, for cement in internal and external areas, in transparent and colored versions. The manager said it is used to paint, demarcate, and protect the cement and is mainly used in high-traffic environments. PU stands for polyurethane.<\/p>\n

\u201cPU Outdoor is used on wooden decks in outdoor areas and pool and garden furniture, both in homes and hotels. PU TOC 7 coating can be used to correct surfaces. Today, there is no similar product in Brazil because the local industry mainly uses acrylic resin. Ours has superior quality and durability,\u201d said Guerra.<\/p>\n

According to the manager, only two national companies are competitors of Aton7 and some multinationals manufacturing lacquer. The company is entirely Brazilian and has partners abroad supplying some inputs, mainly from Europe, where its cutting-edge technology also originates.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur mission with expanding exports and reaching the Arab countries is precisely to strengthen ties and be able to get greater competitiveness not only in the foreign market but also in Brazil, in addition to working on branding and product promotion,\u201d concluded Guerra.<\/p>\n
