{"id":306868,"date":"2022-02-10T09:16:12","date_gmt":"2022-02-10T12:16:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=306868"},"modified":"2022-02-11T13:20:29","modified_gmt":"2022-02-11T16:20:29","slug":"brazils-petrobras-met-output-goals-in-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/brazils-petrobras-met-output-goals-in-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Brazil\u2019s Petrobras met output goals in 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rio de Janeiro \u2013 Brazil-based oil company <strong>Petrobras<\/strong> announced on Thursday (9) it met all its output goals established for 2021, posting several record numbers, including pre-salt results, with an annual average 1.95 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, accounting for 70% of the company\u2019s total output.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur <strong>pre-salt<\/strong> production has been growing fast, and the record high posted is more than twice the volume we used to produce in this layer five years ago,\u201d Petrobras chief production development officer Jo\u00e3o Henrique Rittershaussen said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe magnitude of these results shows Petrobras\u2019 commitment to meeting its goals and its focus on deep- and ultradeep-water assets, which have shown a large competitive edge by producing low-cost, high-quality oil with low greenhouse gas emissions,\u201d the company\u2019s chief exploration &amp; production officer, Fernando Assump\u00e7\u00e3o Borges, said.<\/p>\n<p>Petrobras also highlighted 2021\u2019s 8.5% growth in oil derivative sales from 2020, with an emphasis on the increase of <strong>gasoline<\/strong>, diesel and jet kerosene sales, which was mainly due to the heavy impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic on sales back in 2020. Year on year there was also smaller third-party gasoline and diesel imports, thus resulting in an increase of the company\u2019s market share.<\/p>\n<p>Petrobras posted an annual record high of S-10<strong> diesel<\/strong> sales and output in 2021, thus ensuring better environmental and economic results for users.
