Most of the main products shipped came from the agribusiness, and the increased sales in the sector boosted total shipments to the region.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, Brazil fetched USD 1.33 billion from <strong>exports<\/strong> to the Arab market in January. Maize accounted for USD 230.7 million, up 60.9% year on year. Iron ore was the second best-selling product, at USD 193 million, down 2.5%. It was the only product out of the leading five exporting goods to see a decrease in sales.<\/p>\n<p>Poultry ranked third, fetching USD 191.7 million, up 27.5% from a year earlier. In fourth came sugar, at USD 178 million, up 29.7%, and in fifth came beef, at USD 126.7 million, up 181%. The increase in beef exports was boosted by Egypt\u2019s purchases.<\/p>\n<p>The department of Market Intelligence stressed that all Brazil-Arab trade indicators spiked in January.
