The Arab country exported 603 pairs of footwear to the Brazilian market, the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abical\u00e7ados) reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Moroccans exported to Brazil footwear worth USD 33.47 a pair, a value much higher than the average price of <strong>footwear imported<\/strong> by the Brazilian market year to date of USD 10.25 a pair. <em>Pictured above, a shoe factory in Morocco<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Morocco was Brazil\u2019s 20<sup>th<\/sup> largest footwear supplier and the sole Arab nation to figure in the list of top international suppliers. Sales, however, grossed only USD 20,000, as the shipped volume isn\u2019t relevant in the overall amount of footwear that Brazil imports.<\/p>\n<p>The country that <strong>exported the most footwear<\/strong> to Brazil year to date was Vietnam, at 1.1 million pairs for USD 22.5 million, followed by Indonesia, China, Italy and India. Overall, Brazil imported 5 million pairs for USD 52.4 million.<\/p>\n<p>Despite figuring in the top suppliers list, Morocco\u2019s footwear exports to Brazil in the first two months of the year saw an 8.6% decline in volume from a year ago.
