The online event is free, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sympla.com.br\/evento-online\/gepom-convida-vida-e-obra-de-edward-said-monique-sochaczewski-conversa-com-najla-said\/1516243\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">registration is open<\/a>. The talk will be moderated by GEPOM cofounder Monique Sochaczewski.<\/p>\n<p>Najla will also discuss how Edward Said is present in her book <em>Looking for Palestine \u2013 Growing Up in An Arab-American Family<\/em>, published in 2013, where she discusses the challenges of negotiating her Arab identity and her experience as a second-generation immigrant in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Edward W. Said was born in Jerusalem, <strong>Palestine<\/strong>, and was a professor at Columbia University in New York. He was one of the most outstanding thinkers of the Arab world.
