Compared to January 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic, the result was 19.2% lower. The data, released on Tuesday (22), are from the Federation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo (FecomercioSP).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough the sector was harmed by the Omicron variant, the movement of tourists due to the traditional period of <strong>school holidays<\/strong> helped to boost the result of the month, in addition to the weakened basis of comparison,\u201d says the text of the explanatory note of the entity.<\/p>\n<p>According to the FecomercioSP survey, the January result was mainly influenced by aviation, which grew 60.6% in the first month of the year, year on year.
