The company is exhibiting at the <strong>Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce <\/strong> stand and expects to close deals with two Algerian importers today (4th), the last day of the fair. Four other importers from the Arab country have scheduled trips to Brazil, within one month, to get to know the factory and place their orders.<\/p>\n<p>The expectation, according to the business consultant for Mad&ecirc;mer, Janete Therezinha Buzzi Chaves, is for sales of approximately 5,000 doors to be closed in Brazil, being 2,000 doors still during the fair. Mad&ecirc;mer manufactures 200,000 doors a year and exports 80% of its production. The company sells to the United States, Europe and South America. Janete claims that until recently, Mad&ecirc;mer used to ship 100% of its production abroad, but due to domestic demand, it has redirected its sales.<\/p>\n<p>Mad&ecirc;mer operates across three product segments, with economic, average-priced and higher standard, hardwood doors. According to Janete, there is a strong demand in Algeria for economic building products, for works developed by the government. Approximately 10% of the market, however, consists of average- and high-end products. The consultant claims that in the fair, the company received buyers in all three segments. The higher standard doors, according to her, attracted attention due to their pricing.<\/p>\n<p>According to Janete, the company does not export to the Arab market yet, and its participation in the Algiers International Fair was its first incursion into the region. &ldquo;We are very glad, we enjoyed good acceptance,&rdquo; claims the consultant. Before heading to the fair, the company surveyed the local market and the expectations, she says, were confirmed. <\/p>\n<p>In addition to Mad&ecirc;mer, also present in the Arab Brazilian Chamber stand are construction company Andrade Gutierrez, Promodenta, a maker of medical and dental equipment, Tigre, for pipes and connections, Biagio Turbos, for auto parts, and trading company Alliance Commodities. According to the Foreign Trade assistant to the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Nadia Abdallah, who is at the fair, visitation at the stand yesterday was good.
