S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The majority of the Brazilian companies that participated in the Algiers International Fair, which ended yesterday (4th), in the Algerian capital, returned home with deals either closed or underway for exporting to the Arab market. The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/b> organised a stand at the fair, which featured six Brazilian companies. In total, more than 300 people visited the stand to obtain information about the Arab Brazilian Chamber or discuss business deals with the exhibiting companies.<\/p>\n
Trading company Alliance Commodities, for instance, closed the sale of 19 containers of dairy products. Deals were also closed and negotiated by Biagio Turbos, an auto-part manufacturer, Promodenta, a maker of medical and dental equipment, and Mad\u00eamer, which produces doors. Also participating in the exhibition were construction company Andrade Gutierrez and Tigre, a manufacturer of pipes and connections. The Marketing assistant to the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Filipe Ferraz, explains that the fair was important both for business and promotion of the companies’ images.<\/p>\n
The fair, which is multisectoral, received consumers and businessmen. Promodenta, an Algerian company that represents Brazilian dental and medical equipment manufacturing companies, should start importing products from Brazil to the Algerian market as a result of the fair. According to the representative of Promodenta, Adlane Khelil Cherfi, three Brazilian-based companies will begin importing.<\/p>\n
According to Ferraz, the institutional space of the Arab Brazilian Chamber received around 100 visitors. The bulk of demand was for building material, medication, agricultural foodstuffs and machinery. \u201cThis is a good moment for exporting to Algeria, they are very open to business, are very sympathetic towards Brazilian products, and towards Brazilians themselves,\u201d says Ferraz. According to him, there are no signs of economic crisis in Algeria.<\/p>\n
