The city, which is 230 kilometres away from the capital of S\u00e3o Paulo, plans to build a permanent exhibition area of agro industrial products turned to energy and also to scientific projects in the area. The information was disclosed by the City Hall.<\/p>\n<p> Federal government investment in the project should total 60 million reals (US$ 30 million). The project also includes participation of the Brazilian Machinery Manufacturers Association (Abimaq), which should invest over 23 million reals (US$ 11.5 million). Abimaq investment will be in an area of 240 hectares, on a piece of land granted by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) and the S\u00e3o Carlos City Hall.<\/p>\n<p> &quot;With each phase completed we show the serenity with which we are facing this project, which will be a beacon in the history of S\u00e3o Carlos. Production of clean energy and renewable fuel should foster the sectors of research and knowledge, as well as attracting important investment not just to the city, but also to the region and to Brazil,&quot; said the mayor of S\u00e3o Carlos, Oswaldo Barba.<\/p>\n<p> Apart from delivery to the federal government, the project was also delivered to the Abimaq. At the federal government, the project is being managed by the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
