The event is organized by the club&#8217;s Arab Culture Center and will feature the president of the Arab-Palestinian Federation of Brazil (Fepal), <strong>Ualid Rabah<\/strong>. Participation in the lecture is free of charge and open to the general public, and no prior registration is required.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of Rabah&#8217;s lecture will be &#8216;Palestine \u2013 A History of Apartheid&#8217; [&#8216;Palestina \u2013 Uma hist\u00f3ria de Apartheid&#8217;]. Rabah is the son of Palestinians who moved to Brazil and was born in Toledo, in the interior of the state of Paran\u00e1. He was a journalist for 11 years, militant in the student and trade union movements. He held the Arab seat of the Brazilian National Council for the Promotion of Racial Equality for eight years. Currently living in the capital city of Paran\u00e1, Curitiba, Rabah is now a businessman.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1917, Esporte Clube S\u00edrio offers leisure, culture, and sports activities to the population of S\u00e3o Paulo, in addition to promoting the preservation and dissemination of Arab culture, traditions, customs, and hospitality in Brazil.
