S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The vice president of Brazil, Hamilton Mour\u00e3o (pictured above<\/em>), confirmed his presence at the Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries<\/a>, to take place on July 4 at the Renaissance Hotel in S\u00e3o Paulo. Mour\u00e3o will speak at the event\u2019s closing, which will bring Brazilians and Arabs closer together and celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), the Forum\u2019s host.<\/p>\n

The opening will feature the president of the ABCC,\u00a0 ambassador Osmar Chohfi, the president of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), Augusto Pestana, and the Brazilian minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fran\u00e7a (over the internet).<\/p>\n

The 4th edition of the Forum, which this year has Legacy and Innovation<\/a> as its theme, will have a hybrid format, with in-person participation exclusively for guests. Registration to watch the live event online is open<\/a>. The Forum will start at 8:30 am BRT (11:30 am GMT).<\/p>\n

Presence is confirmed for Brazilians Lorival Luz, CEO of BRF; Anna Fl\u00e1via Ribeiro, founder of Tribo Pol\u00edmata; Caio Esteves, Place Branding and Placemaking expert of Bloom Consulting; ambassador Rubens Barbosa, president of the Institute of International Relations and Foreign Trade (IRICE); Alberto Pfeifer, founder and general coordinator of the Group for the Analysis of the International Conjuncture (GACINT) of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP); Sergio Gusm\u00e3o Suchodolski, president of the S\u00e3o Paulo Development Agency (Desenvolve SP).<\/p>\n

Also participating from Brazil will be Ali Hussein El Zoghbi, vice president of the Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil (FAMBRAS), and Ant\u00f4nio Rog\u00e9rio Correia Nogueira \u201cMinotouro,\u201d founder of the Sport Beyond Borders project. Argentine consultant Carolina Larriera, co-founder of the S\u00e9rgio Vieira de Mello Center, will also speak on one of the panels.<\/p>\n

Among the Arabs with participation confirmed are Khaled Hanafy, secretary-general of the Union of Arab Chambers (UAC); Yousef Khalawi, secretary-general of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (ICCIA); Sarah Al-Jazzar, counselor of the UAC; Alaa Ezz, secretary-general of the Confederation of Egyptian-European Business Associations (CEEBA); and Youssef Cherif, professor of the Harvard University and political analyst (Tunisia).<\/p>\n

Khalid Ahmed Mohammed Al Marzooqi, commercial director of Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) (UAE); Alia Moubayed, chief economist for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at Jefferies investment bank (Lebanon); Omar Al-Ubaydli, Research director of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (DERASAT) (Bahrain) (over the internet); Ahmed Elmurtada, managing partner of innovation hub 249Startups (Sudan); and Ahmed Shihab-Eldin, journalist of Palestinian descent (USA-Kuwait) will also represent the Arab countries at the event<\/p>\n
