S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Scientists in different countries are discovering that moderate cofffee drinking brings several health benefits and, aiming to divulge the results of said researches, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) is exhibiting at Shopping Boulevard, in Bras\u00edlia, the capital of Brazil, up until July 5th.<\/p>\n
At the Embrapa Coffee stand, visitors will learn, for instance, that coffee may bring benefits to the heart, prevent depression, stimulate learning, help control hyperactive children, and even contribute to weight loss. Studies show that coffee contains only 1% to 2.5% of caffeine, the best known substance present in the grain. It is caffeine that produces the stimulating effect of coffee consumption.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, studies show that coffee contains higher quantities of various substances that are beneficial to the human body, such as minerals, amino acids, lipids, sugar, B-complex vitamins, and chlorogenic acids, which help remove free radicals, thus contributing to prevent precocious aging of tissues.<\/p>\n
The researches disclosed at the Embrapa Coffee stand are part of a study by the Brazilian Coffee Research and Development Consortium. At the stand, in addition to having access to the researches, visitors may taste various coffee-based products, such as biscuits, cookies, ice-creams, chocolate truffles and yoghurt.<\/p>\n
