Studies show that coffee contains only 1% to 2.5% of caffeine, the best known substance present in the grain. It is caffeine that produces the stimulating effect of coffee consumption.

Furthermore, studies show that coffee contains higher quantities of various substances that are beneficial to the human body, such as minerals, amino acids, lipids, sugar, B-complex vitamins, and chlorogenic acids, which help remove free radicals, thus contributing to prevent precocious aging of tissues.

The researches disclosed at the Embrapa Coffee stand are part of a study by the Brazilian Coffee Research and Development Consortium. At the stand, in addition to having access to the researches, visitors may taste various coffee-based products, such as biscuits, cookies, ice-creams, chocolate truffles and yoghurt.

Service

Coffee Exhibition
Date: June 25th to July 5th
Place: Shopping Boulevard
Address: Setor Terminal Norte, Brasília

*Translated by Gabriel Pomerancblum

The product’s benefits are being shown to visitors at the Embrapa Coffee stand at Shopping Boulevard up until July 5th.
