The <strong>Libya Aviation Forum &amp; Expo<\/strong> will take place from November 6 to 8 in Tripoli, the capital of the Arab country. The event aims to present development projects in the infrastructure and services sectors and upturn the country&#8217;s aviation sector.<\/p>\n<p>Libyan civil aviation began in 1953. Libyan Arab Airlines was founded in 1964. Libya also has another state-owned airline, Afriqiyah, established in 2002. All public airlines are owned by the Libyan African Aviation Holding Company, founded in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The sector has seen better years and functioned as a hub between Southern Europe, Western Europe, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Since 2011, the country has faced more challenges and an up-and-coming private sector. Tripoli International Airport suffered massive damage in 2014. Today, Mitiga International, located in Tripoli, is the hub for domestic and international airlines.<\/p>\n<p>Other active airports in the country are Misurata International Airport and Benina International in Benghazi, with other regional airports operational in Sebha and Zintan.<\/p>\n<p>The forum and exhibition will be a specialized event featuring professionals, experts, and <em>stakeholders<\/em> to discuss and shed light on the immediate and future needs of the aviation sector.
