Cairo \u2013 Egyptian company Green Magic<\/strong> submitted a request to the local Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation to obtain a license to produce new types of fertilizers to export. The company<\/a> intends to make mono-fertilizers, the simple, unmixed, or direct types containing only a single element. Among the fertilizers Green Magic already produces are compound products focused on vegetable and flower growth.<\/p>\n

The information was disclosed to ANBA by the board chair of Green Magic for Production of Fertilizers, Amr Raslan (pictured above)<\/em>. According to him, the company also submitted a request to the government to obtain a one-square-kilometer area in Wadi El-Natrun, northern Egypt, to establish a new plant specializing in the production of agricultural pesticides. The company intends to increase its output of pesticides and fertilizers.<\/p>\n

Green Magic already has a plant and warehouse in Wadi El-Natrun, on a 3.6-square-kilometer area, with a capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year. According to Raslan, the new facility could be built later this year or early next year, increasing capacity.<\/p>\n

Raslan pointed out the Egyptian market absorbs 70% of the company\u2019s production, and 30% is exported. The global crises experienced in recent times boosted Green Magic\u2019s sales expansion to many international markets, especially Arab countries, Africa, and Southeast Europe. According to Raslan, there is also an aim to enter the promising Brazilian market.<\/p>\n

Green Magic was established in 2017 to produce and distribute fertilizers. According to Raslan, since its foundation, the company had made a point of opening export markets at a time when other Egyptian companies were focused on local. The company currently has two divisions, one focused on regional distribution and the other on exports. The executive celebrated the current international presence, despite the relatively recent entry into the market.<\/p>\n

This year, Green Magic became a member of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC) through the institution\u2019s Regional Office in Cairo, intending to expand its exports. In an interview with ANBA, Amr Raslan pointed out the company has a technical support team working on the study and analysis of demand volume, needs of the agricultural market in general, and plants market, in particular, from sowing to harvesting.<\/p>\n

According to Raslan, Green Magic started with four products in 2017 and, since then, has been looking forward to constantly adapting solutions to the needs of the agribusiness market. It currently offers 79 products, all licensed by the Ministry of Agriculture, used in Egypt and abroad. He pointed out Egypt holds most of the raw inputs needed for the fertilizer industry, such as phosphate, nitrogen, and potassium; therefore, the segment has every reason to succeed as long as these inputs are appropriately managed.<\/p>\n
