S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Arab film directors will participate in online meetings organized by this year’s Arab World Film Festival, which opened this week in S\u00e3o Paulo. The meetings kick-off on Sunday (4), with ‘The Stanger’ in the Golan Heights, at 12:00 pm BRT. The debate will feature Syrian director Ameer Fakhr al Din. In addition to the director, Salem Nasser, professor of International Law at Get\u00falio Vargas Foundation (FGV) law school; Ivonete Pinto, film critic; and screenwriter Gil Rodrigues will also participate.<\/p>\n

On Monday (5), at 9:00 pm, the debates will be on ‘Farha’ and the 1948 Nakba. In this event, Jordanian Darin J. Sallam, director of ‘Farha,’ will participate. The discussion will also receive Soraya Misleh, Palestinian-Brazilian journalist and author of the book ‘Al Nakba \u2013 A Study on the Palestinian Catastrophe.’ Diogo Bercito, journalist and author Folha de S\u00e3o Paulo’s newspaper blog Oriental\u00edssimo will moderate the session.<\/p>\n
