According to the Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion (<strong>Embratur<\/strong>), solely last month, there were 4,003 arrivals, representing 80.71% of the capacity in 2019. Compared to August 2021, there was a 232.35% increase in international connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>Until July 2022, the international air network maintained an upward trend, reaching above 70% of 2019 capacity, but had not yet surpassed 80%. Embratur expects to recover 100% of <strong>connectivity<\/strong> by the end of this year. On this matter, the agency has held meetings with airlines and expects to have 134 new and additional flights by February 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Among the new routes, flights connecting the Northeast of Brazil stand out. In October, <strong>Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas<\/strong> plans to add two new flights to the Buenos Aires-Salvador route. In November, <strong>TAP<\/strong> also expects the return of two Lisbon-Salvador flights. In the same month, <strong>GOL<\/strong> intends to resume the Buenos Aires-Natal flight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Air Europa<\/strong> plans to start operating two new flights and an additional one in December on the Madrid-Salvador route. Also for December, GOL has scheduled other new flights: Miami-Fortaleza, Buenos Aires-Recife, Buenos Aires-Macei\u00f3, and Buenos Aires-Salvador.
