In August alone, revenue stepped up 10.1% from a year earlier to USD 1.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The leading export from Brazil to the region year to date through August was <strong>poultry<\/strong> at UAS 2.1 billion, up 40.7%, followed by <strong>iron ore<\/strong> at USD 2 billion, down 28.2%, <strong>sugar<\/strong> at USD 1.7 billion, up 15%, <strong>soybeans<\/strong> at USD 1.07 billion, up 71.5%, and <strong>maize<\/strong> at USD 1.01 billion, up 165.6% compared to January through August last year.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil\u2019s top Arab markets were the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, and Bahrain. The only one that decreased its purchases year to date from 2021 was <strong>Bahrain<\/strong>, whose imports were down 25.2% to USD 1 billion.
