{"id":319046,"date":"2022-10-06T17:00:12","date_gmt":"2022-10-06T20:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=319046"},"modified":"2022-10-11T12:35:23","modified_gmt":"2022-10-11T15:35:23","slug":"egypts-agricultural-exports-hit-5-million-tonnes-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/egypts-agricultural-exports-hit-5-million-tonnes-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Egypt\u2019s agricultural exports hit 5 million tonnes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cairo \u2013 The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt announced that the country\u2019s agricultural exports rose year on year and hit over 5 million tonnes for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed Al-Attar, head of the Egypt\u2019s Central Administration of Plant Quarantine (CAPQ), said total exports from January through October 4 this year reached 5,019,411 tonnes, up 5.4% or 258,824 tonnes from 4,760,587 a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Attar stressed that leading agricultural exports were citrus, potatoes, fresh onions, grapes, fresh tomatoes, sweet potatoes, strawberries, fresh beans, guava, garlic, mangoes, watermelons, and pomegranates.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report by the CAPQ, citrus ranked first in exports at 1.63 million tonnes. Fresh potatoes exports ranked second at 855,900 tonnes, and onion exports ranked third at 343,200 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>Grapes ranked fourth at 150,300 tonnes, while beans ranked fifth at 134,300 tonnes. Egypt\u2019s sweet potatoes exports ranked sixth at 84,200 tonnes shipped.<\/p>\n<p>Pomegranates ranked seventh at 55,700 tonnes, followed by mangoes at 42,200 tonnes.
