{"id":319560,"date":"2022-10-19T14:35:10","date_gmt":"2022-10-19T17:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=319560"},"modified":"2022-10-21T17:16:05","modified_gmt":"2022-10-21T20:16:05","slug":"brazil-creates-project-to-empower-women-in-agribusiness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/brazil-creates-project-to-empower-women-in-agribusiness\/","title":{"rendered":"Brazil creates project to empower women in agribusiness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bras\u00edlia \u2013 Brazil\u2019s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply created a working group to support the establishment of the <strong>Brazilian Observatory for Women in Agriculture<\/strong> aimed at supporting proposals for improving, designing and implementing public policies and other programs to reinforce the female presence in Brazilian agribusiness, including agriculture, forestry and aquaculture activities.<\/p>\n<p>The ordinance that established the group was published on Wednesday (19) in the <em>Official Gazette<\/em> and comes into effect on November 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2022. According to the document, the group is responsible for supporting the creation of a bank of data and information related to the women in agriculture, assisting the implementation of activities aimed to raise the awareness on and identify restrictions on the work of woman in agriculture, and offering recommendations to guide the development and implementation of <strong>public policies for woman in agriculture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The group will consist of representatives from the Agriculture Ministry\u2019s Executive, Land Affairs, Family Agriculture and Cooperativism, Aquaculture and Fishery, Commerce and International Relations, Agriculture Defense, Innovation, Sustainable Development and Irrigation, and Agricultural Policy Secretariats.
