S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 S\u00e3o Paulo’s Football Museum<\/strong> will have a special schedule with Arab attractions during the 2022 FIFA World Cup<\/strong>, to kick off on November 20 with the tournament’s opening. The World Cup will take place in Qatar, an Arab country in the Gulf. On the first day of the competition, the Football Museum will have a food market with Arab cuisine and drink stalls and screen the Cup’s opening match between Qatar and Ecuador. The event will also feature an Arab musical attraction.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony of the Cup will be exhibited on a LED screen outside the museum, as well as the opening match of the competition. Activities at the Museum will kick off in the morning before, around 10:00 am. The special schedule is a partnership between the Football Museum, the Gastronomy Observatory, the S\u00e3o Paulo city Secretariat of Economic Development and Labour Gastronomy Observatory, and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC). The ABCC’s cultural director, Silvia Antibas, will participate in the event’s opening.<\/p>\n

On this day, admission to the museum will be free as part of the S\u00e3o Paulo Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy’s program for Black Awareness Day. The Football Museum is an institution of the S\u00e3o Paulo state government. The venue will also live screen all other World Cup games on the following days, though with an admission fee, subject to capacity and following the museum’s opening hours.<\/p>\n

However, on the days the Brazilian national team<\/strong> will play, fans will be able to watch the matches on big screens in the external area of the Football Museum, under the facade of the Pacaembu Stadium, and in the ‘Grande \u00c1rea’ room, at the entrance of the museum, for free. The matches will also be screened at the ‘Body Game’ [‘Jogo de Corpo’] room, which features a grandstand, but an admission fee will be charged for this area. For the match between Brazil and Switzerland on November 28, the museum will exceptionally open on Monday.<\/p>\n

On Brazil’s match days, the Football Museum will also have samba circles<\/strong> before matches and during halftime, with the music group ‘O Samba Chega.’ The museum’s educational center will offer educational activities and themed visits related to the World Cup, and other campaigns and exhibitions will be held during the World Cup period. The activity schedule will be updated on the Football Museum’s<\/a> official website.<\/p>\n
