S\u00e3o Paulo – The Brazilian shoe companies that attended GDS, an international trade fair for the industry that ended early this week in Germany, closed deals and made contact with Arab importers at the fair.<\/p>\n
According to information on the website of the Brazilian Association of Shoe Manufacturers (Abical\u00e7ados), deals worth US$ 3.04 million were closed during the three days of the fair, and the forecast is for US$ 16.5 million to be generated over the next 12 months. <\/p>\n
According to data issued by the Abical\u00e7ados, Sapatoterapia was one of the brands that made contact with Arab importers, from Saudi Arabia, at the fair. The company, based in the city of Franca, in the interior of the state of S\u00e3o Paulo, also sold items and closed deals with importers from Germany, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Taiwan, Denmark and Sweden. <\/p>\n
Brand Malu Super Comfort, from the city of Novo Hamburgo, in state of Rio Grande do Sul, managed to enter the Dubai market as a result of contacts made during the German fair. The company also conquered new clients in markets such as Russia, China and Turkey. <\/p>\n
Most of the Brazilian brands took part in the fair by means of the Brazilian Footwear program, turned to export promotion and implemented by the Abical\u00e7ados and the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex). <\/p>\n
The companies exhibiting at the collective stand of the Brazilian Footwear program were Pegada, Ramarim, Piccadilly, Divietto, Cecconelo, Nicolla Mezzi, Dilly, Tryon, Malu\/Malu Supercomfort, Wolpco, Klin, Bical, Madeira Brasil, Maria Beatriz, Lia Line, Bebec\u00ea, P\u00e9 com P\u00e9, Andacco and Kiddy. <\/p>\n
The companies exhibiting at their own individual stands were Rider\/Ipanema\/Grendha, Via Uno, Miezko, Anatomic Gel, Beira Rio\/Vizzano\/Toccado, Sapatoterapia, Lele Pyp and Democrata.<\/p>\n
