Volume was also down to 173,783 tonnes from over 200,000 tonnes in the previous four months, meatpacker association Abrafrigo reported based on data from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) at the Ministry of Economy.<\/p>\n<p>Year-to-date exports gone has gone up to USD 1.2 billion from USD 8.5 million last year, up 44%. Beef exports reached 2.158 million tonnes from January to November, up 25.8%.<\/p>\n<p>The leading buyer of beef from Brazil year to date was China at USD 7.48 billion, up 93% fom 2021. The United States came in second at USD 904 million, up 12.8%, followed by Chile at USD 360.1 million, down 29.2%.<\/p>\n<p>Egypt came in fourth, at 94,000 tonnes (up 69.7%) for USD 356.4 million (up 62.1%).<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong was the fifth largest buyer at 88,500 tonnes (down 57.1%) for USD 308.9 million.
