The Italian Brazilian won the six matches she played Sunday (29), including the final bout against Marie-Florence Candassamy of France.<\/p>\n<p>The 2019 individual world champion showed on Friday (27) that she would fight for medals in Doha by winning the five matches of the preliminary phase \u2013 in which athletes are divided into groups and duel against each other \u2013 and making it\u00a0 to main bracket of the tournament, which brought together 27 of the 28 best fencers in the International Fencing Federation (<strong>FIE<\/strong>) ranking. The first was out in the preliminary phase, while the latter, leader of the national ranking, got a bye into the round 64, eliminated by US\u2019s Stephen Ewart 15-14.
