The volume is a record for the month and exceeds by 20.6% that of January 2022.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Export<\/strong> revenue in the year\u2019s first month amounted to USD 856.6 million, 38.9% higher than in the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p>The leading destination for Brazil\u2019s poultry exports was China, which imported 60,200 tonnes in January, 24.7% more than in 2022\u2019s same month. Other highlights were Japan, with 37,700 tonnes (+23.1%); <strong>Saudi Arabia<\/strong>, 32,400 tonnes (+111.3%); South Africa, 29,500 tonnes (+15 .7%); and the European Union, 21,800 tonnes (+20.4%).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was an increase in sales in virtually all major destinations for <strong>poultry<\/strong> exports from Brazil. The global setting, with supply pressure, among other reasons, due to the consequences of Avian Influenza in several territories, increased the demand for the Brazilian product.
