The result is 80.5% higher than recorded in the same month last year when Brazilians spent USD 690 million abroad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spending by foreigners in Brazil<\/strong> totaled USD 604 million in the month, up 43.3% compared to January 2022. According to the BC, both spending by Brazilians abroad and revenues from foreigners in Brazil are on a \u201ccomeback to pre-pandemic levels.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the increase in expenses abroad, the negative balance of Brazil\u2019s international travel spending rose from USD 269 million, in January 2022, to USD 642 million last month.
