The award was given by the world&#8217;s most visited architecture website, <strong>ArchDaily<\/strong>, and the Brazilian project competed with another 4,500. Expo 2020 occurred in the United Arab Emirates from October 2021 to March 2022. <em>Pictured above, a projection of the pavilion.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Brazilian space was managed by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and jointly designed by the architecture offices of Marta Moreira and Milton Braga (<strong>MMBB Arquitetos<\/strong>), Argentine Martin Benavides (<strong>Ben-Avid<\/strong>) and Jos\u00e9 Paulo Gouv\u00eaa (<strong>JPG.ARQ<\/strong>). The venue hosted events promoting Brazilian products and brands during the six months of the planet&#8217;s most prominent exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>The Brazil pavilion was the third most visited at Expo 2020 Dubai, with 2.1 million people, according to ApexBrasil. The place resembled an oasis, with the <strong>Brazilian waters<\/strong> as a central element. A reflecting pool where it was possible to walk occupied the center of the space, representing the rivers and mangroves of Brazil. Around it, a tensile structure in steel and light white fabric formed a framework capable of receiving projections, creating an immersive atmosphere of <strong>Brazilian images and sounds<\/strong>.
