The exhibition began on the 7th of this month and ends on the 12th of November. It includes a total of 39 pictures by Polidori dating back to the 1980s. The photographer has works published in some of the most famous magazines in the world, like <i>Vanity Fair<\/i> and <i>Newsweek<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p> From the Arab world, pictures include urban scenes of Alexandria, in Egypt, and Amman, in Jordan. The images of Alexandria and Amman, together with scenes in Varanasi, in India, focus on civil construction and the business streets of the city. There are also images of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, devastated after conflicts in the 1980s. There are also pictures of Havana, in Cuba, and New Orleans after hurricane Katrina, and a photography exhibit inside apartments devastated by vandals in New York, as well as other pictures.<\/p>\n<p> Before the Brazilian House Museum, the exhibition had been to Moreira Salles Institute, in Rio de Janeiro. The exhibition was elaborated by Polidori in partnership with Heloisa Espada, who is one of the curators of Moreira Salles institute. The Canadian has already exhibited in Brazil before, but always with other artists. One of them was exhibition &quot;Bras\u00edlia from 0 to 40 years&quot;, in 2000, and another was &quot;Brasil: desFocos (O Olho de Fora)&quot;, in 2008.<\/p>\n<p> The photographer, aged 51, was born in Montreal and currently lives in New York. He has already participated in several experimental movies and has worked for magazines <i>Geo, Architectural Digest Germany<\/i> and <i>Nest Magazine<\/i>, as well as the other two mentioned above.
