S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 It is a special time in countries with Muslim populations. Since March 23, followers of Islam have been in Ramadan, the holy month that translates into moments of prayer, religious reflection, charity, and devotion. During this period, Muslims fast during the day and eat and drink only before and after the sun goes down. Breaking the fast is usually a collective gathering at the homes of relatives and friends, in restaurants, in public spaces, or next to a mosque. For them, it is a time of blessing.
