Cairo \u2013 EgyptAir<\/strong>, Egypt\u2019s flag-carrier airline, confirmed to the ANBA team in Cairo that charter flights<\/strong> will start operating between the Egyptian capital and S\u00e3o Paulo starting next September and informed this is the first stage towards a regular line.<\/p>\n

The president of EgyptAir Holding Company, Yehia Zakaria, explained, in an exclusive statement to ANBA, that the chartered flights will be operated in cooperation with a Spanish company, aiming to strengthen economic, cultural, and tourist ties between Egypt and Brazil.<\/p>\n

He added the flights would be a first step towards operating regular nonstop flights between Cairo and S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong> at a later stage. He clarified the flights would not be limited to Cairo and S\u00e3o Paulo but would reach several Arab, African, and Latin American countries.<\/p>\n

The company is considering expanding its routes. According to Zakaria, EgyptAir would not give up its ambition to reach customers in as many places as possible worldwide and would pay attention to development and modernization in all fields and activities to keep pace with other international airlines, especially in the Middle East and Africa.<\/p>\n

Country effort<\/strong><\/p>\n

Egypt\u2019s prime minister Mostafa Madbouly recently held a meeting to learn about EgyptAir\u2019s development efforts and the airline\u2019s plans accompanied by several ministers and officials. \u201cWe are working towards enhancing the tourism experience in Egypt<\/strong> in all aspects, including the integration between the tourism and aviation sectors, towards maximizing the added value of Egypt\u2019s unique tourism and cultural assets,\u201d said Madbouly at the meeting.<\/p>\n

The prime minister said it is necessary to take advantage of the infrastructure of airports, hotels, and tourist destinations throughout the country built and modernized in the last few years, which requires permanent work in EgyptAir\u2019s continuous strategic planning to reach the desired goals.<\/p>\n

Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Helmy, the Egyptian minister of Civil Aviation, said the company is currently studying the expansion of its routes. The increase is necessary due to the proportional increase in aviation operations and demand in the current period, within the scope of the company\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n
